After some much need head clearing and closet cleaning I am back! After crying and cleaning I feel so much relief. Suprisingly I realized what lead to a lot of my increased anxiety last week; PMS.I forget about that every month *sighs in cramps and balls up in a corner.Upon cleaning out my closet I not only realized I have way too much, but also that I need to reuse more pieces. Versatility and reusability are vital keys in fashion.Buying pieces and wearing them once is like a one hit wonder. No one really wants that.Longetivity in a piece or in any industry is always the goal. I wanted a fun Coachella/editorial vibe for today so I went artsy on my makeup. I don't have red eyeliner so I used a red liquid matte lipstick over my black wing. It came out just like I wanted to, surprisingly. Running short on white eye makeup, I used while nail polish to make the 4 dots on my brow. I wouldn't make it a habit because its obviously paint and is not made for skin, but it definitely works in a pinch. That white polish got its full use in because I also used it paint my bobby pins. I used 6 pins in total. Two of the pins I added a red coat on top to accent my eye makeup. I just got this choker and I told myself " look bih, you are gonna wear this and you are gonna slay it too, okay?!".I replied (to myself) "Yasssss girl, damn!" .After side-eyeing myself in the mirror, I went through my mountain of mess on my nightstand and find this insect brooch I got last year from Forever21.I'm pretty pleased with myself.I was getting to the actual choker so don't worry I will tell you where it's from.I get things sent to me a lot, but this business owner really touched me with her sheer positivity and encouragement.Linz B is a mom of two who started out as a teacher and social worker and took the leap to work for herself.I am really glad she did because she has a true gift. Not only for uplifting and encourage , as evident from her prior profession, but also the way she reached out to me and spoke such life into and recognized my style. She even sent a choker for my daughter *insert all the feels. The name of her shop is 4ever Unicorn Fashion and can be shopped here on Etsy.Follow on IG @4ever.unicorn.fashion.Thank you Linz for being a beautiful black woman sharing your talent with the world! Don't worry guys, she is also adding an insect pin to her inventory that you can accessorize on your choker as well! You can shop some of my fave choker by clicking the pics below If you stalk my blog, (please say you do) then you will remember I wore this Zara flower jumper in my Black Beatles post.It was cooler then so I layered in with tights, boots, a turtleneck, and velvet jacket. It's already reaching 1000 degrees here in the South, so I am governing my wardrobe and natural hair accordingly. I don't get to travel much so my blog gives me that outlet.I of course wanted to go to Coachella, but Beyoncé pulled a Janet and I no longer cared enough to pretend to have enough money (which I don't have) to go.So here I am in the mosquito infested woods giving you the best that I've got *in my Anita Baker voice. No one cares what you wear to Coachella, as long as you are not wearing someone's culture as a costume (don't do that shit!).The Woodstock-ier and acid trippier the better. My only regret is not loading my body down in flash tattoos *cries in Coachella. Kimonos had been on my radar low-key lately.Zara got all the bloggers up in arms with their jade kimono ($129) and pants to match. My wallet was telling me to 'Keep calm bih, you can't afford that!.You are a clearance queen , remember?!".My wallet was right and I am glad I listened ( I didn't have a choice, but oh well).I was determined to find one. So I hit up the bestie, Google, and she came right on through as always! My kimono is from a place call Old Shanghai. Guys, if you need a kimono I urge you to check them out first.Mine was only $27 and the shipping was crazy fast(and only about $6).I ordered it on Wednesday and it was at home waiting for me on Friday! The quality is also very good for the price and it comes in an abundance of colors. You can also sign up for their newsletter and get 10% off your 1st purchase! So I will be adding this in my summer rotation ,HEAVILY AND ON THE HI-KEY TIP! Shop mine ($27), Zara's, ($129 if you are rich), and the striped one ($50) below by clicking each pic. Speaking of hair, you like my new do.It's 28 inches long and I am gonna be Rapunzel-ing for a while now.Get used to it.I'm gonna give more deets once I get a chance to style and color so stay tuned. The hair is from Glamour House of Hair and you know how much I love them! I will be remixing and revamping all week so stay tuned! You know how I love to shoutout those who inspire me and I haven't done that in a while. Today's fun festival look is not only Coachella inspired but their is a beauty duo that gets the most credit. I have mention this MUA before, but her name is Brittney Taylor and she is just everything! She is versatile and her work is always so clean and crisp. She can give you dewy fresh ,whimsical, sexy sultry and everything in between. Her current muse is Jasmine Vines and she is drop dead gorgeous. She literally makes me sick, I can't stand her pretty self! Not only does she model , but is also a health care professional by day.I'm so flabbergasted on how she does it.These two ladies team up and make magic.Below is one piece of work which was featured on Essence, Essence yall! From North Carolina to Essence, that's a huuuuuge deeeeaaaallll! I'm so incredibly proud to know these ladies , even though we never met (yet, soon come).I love you ladies and I hope you know that, and know that I mean it *hugs.Thank you for keeping me inspired in so many ways that I can describe.
